Attackers can easily determine that your site runs Joomla! by typing "/administrator". That's too easy! AdminExile allows an administrator to add an access key to the end of the URL which will redirect wrong entries to the homepage, 404 page, or anywhere else without ever seeing the administrator login panel. New since Version 1.6 - Option to use key + value instead of only a key. You can now configure the plugin to require a value to go along with the key: Normal Use : /administrator?adminexile Key + Value: /administrator?adminexile=ROCKS My number one support request is for a method to reset the key/value because it was forgotten. As of Version 1.15, user groups can be allowed to request the /administrator link to be sent via email to their registered email address. Mail Link requests look like this (replace username with a valid user name): https://demo16.richeyweb.com/administrator/?email=username Examples - Without the key - redirects to the homepage: https://demo16.richeyweb.com/administrator With the key - allows you to access the login page: https://demo16.richeyweb.com/administrator?adminexile Once you've clicked the second link, your AdminExile key will be active until your session expires (or until you close your browser). The only restriction is that the key you choose cannot be all numeric. This is due to a Joomla security requirement. Thanks go to Jeff Sawlor for pointing that out in his review, below.
