I have been on the Production Leadership Team for two years plus a year before that on the board of Open Source Matters. My term on the PLT is up this month and I have not asked for it to be renewed for another year. Much as I enjoy working with everyone on the project, this is the right time for me to step aside from the leadership teams.

A few weeks ago, I sent an invitation to our subscribers, developers and translators to apply to participate in a closed beta testing program. We approved 110 applications and the testers got to work. It turned out to be a hugely valuable opportunity. We were able to catch a number of bugs that we wouldn’t have been able to find in-house.
