copyscape

Copyscape is a great tool to know if other websites copied your content.

For SEO purposes, it's always a good idea to keep an eye on whether your content is being ripped off.

In this short post, I'll share with you how to use Copyscape to look for duplicated content on other sites.

  • Go to the Copyscape[1] site.
  • Paste the URL for one of your articles. This should work if you're running WordPress, Joomla, Drupal or any other platform.
  • Click the "Go" button.

If a considerable portion of your content is being used on another site, it will be listed below.

Note: this doesn't 100% mean the sites listed in the results copied your site's content. It can also list long phrases that match small portions of your text.
